For Koibird Active we wanted to inject a real sense of energy into the space and even outside. The approach is all about making sport and working out fun and stylish so inspiration came from camp 80’s. The exterior encourages visitors to start playing before they even enter the store with multiple basketball hoops making the store more hangout than purely a retail destination. We took our colour cues from classic workout videos blending it seamlessly with Koi’s signature palette. Markings are inspired by the college sports halls of bratpack movies - playing with the overlay of colours and lines and pulling them up the walls and over the ceiling and onto the exterior for our playful Koibird trademark twist on style.
